Notable Examples

One of the most famous examples of a player who has played for both Manchester City and Liverpool is Carlos Tevez. The Argentine striker joined Manchester City in 2009 after a successful spell at Manchester United. He helped City win the FA Cup in 2011, before joining Liverpool in 2013. Tevez scored 11 goals in 48 appearances for Liverpool, before leaving the club in 2015.

Another player who has played for both Manchester City and Liverpool is Joleon Lescott. The defender joined Manchester City in 2009, and helped the club win the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League title in 2012. He joined Liverpool in 2014, and made 16 appearances for the club before leaving in 2016.
