England keep Uefa Women's Nations League hopes alive as they battle to a 3-2 win over Netherlands
Sensational comeback victory sees Lionesses return to winning ways
Late winner from Ella Toone seals the deal for England
Ella Toone's late winner kept England's UEFA Women's Nations League hopes alive as the Lionesses beat the Netherlands 3-2 at Wembley.
England, who needed to win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals alive, fell behind twice in the first half to goals from Lieke Martens and Vivianne Miedema.
But the Lionesses showed great character to fight back, with Alessia Russo and Rachel Daly scoring in the second half to level the scores.
Toone then popped up with the winner in the 73rd minute to secure a dramatic victory.
The result means England are now level on points with the Netherlands in Group A4, with two games remaining.
England boss Sarina Wiegman maintained full faith in her side to stage the stunning second-half comeback.
Wiegman said: "I'm really proud of the team. They showed great character and resilience to come back from 2-0 down."
"We knew it would be a tough game, but we never gave up and we deserved the win in the end."
England will now face Switzerland away on Tuesday in their final group game, knowing that a win will see them qualify for the semi-finals.
