How To Get Around Campus

**How to Get Around Campus**

**Parking**

The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) has a variety of parking options for students, staff, and visitors. The most convenient option is to purchase a parking permit, which allows you to park in any of the designated parking lots on campus. Permits can be purchased online or at the Parking Services office in the Kirby Student Center.

If you don't want to purchase a parking permit, you can also park in metered spaces or in the pay-to-park lot located next to the Kirby Student Center. The meters accept coins and credit cards. The pay-to-park lot accepts cash and credit cards.

If you're only going to be on campus for a short period of time, you can also park in the free parking lot located next to the Recreation and Wellness Center. This lot is only available to students, staff, and visitors who are using the Recreation and Wellness Center.

**Transportation**

UMD offers a variety of transportation options for students, staff, and visitors. The most popular option is the UMD Shuttle, which provides free transportation between campus and off-campus locations. The shuttle runs seven days a week, and it stops at all of the major buildings on campus.

If you don't want to take the shuttle, you can also walk or bike to campus. UMD is located in a very walkable and bikeable area, and there are a number of bike paths and trails that connect to campus.

If you're coming to campus from out of town, you can also take the bus or train. The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) provides bus service to and from campus, and Amtrak provides train service to Duluth.
